Into level cutscenes where out of sync though. PS1 - Legends with exlusive levels not found in ANY version.ĭC - Arcade Perfect but layout and features where a cross of Legends/Dark Legacy. Which each new release came new features, new characters, new unlocks, redesigned levels, replacement of levels etc. Legends/Dark Legacy had a standard aracde development cycle that translated to each new platform it was released on. I have all but the XB version and beaten the ones I have. I assume the XB version is the same as the PS2/GCN version. The GBA version is actually quite different. OK, the PS2 and GCN versions are basically the same. "GameCube doesn’t have health bars for mini bosses or regular bosses" I think I heard newer versions maybe have it maybe not. I tried the PS2, Gamecube and Xbox version ! I havent played the Xbox version though so cant comment on that. Gauntlet 64 is a port of legends, so theres not as much there. Gamecube one is playable via a wii once you have gamecube controllers. I stand by the PS2 version as the best version, possibly as the one I played most. If you have no problem with slightly less content than Dark Legacy, then the N64 version is also fantastic :)

The GBA version is a fun little aside, but it's not worth it if you're after a full experience.

I'd say if you were going for graphics alone, get the Xbox version, but if not, then hit up the GameCube version. It controls great, runs well, looks decent enough. I've got the GameCube version, and I've never really had any issues. The GameCube version lets you play with the best controllers (obviously).
GAUNTLET DARK LEGACY PS2 BIOS ROM PS3
PS2 version works on PS3 but I don't know how well.Īnd Xbox copy probably doesn't work on Xbox 360, it might diff but most likely not.Ĭan I have widescreen/modern formating on an Xbox original if I pick one up for this? But if there's an inventory I guess gold fangs and stuff don't drop on the ground to be picked up like I'm used to? But still seems worth it if the case. The lack of inventory system in PS2 could make you unable to access dropped it's by Golems and Gargoyles and stuff but had better than GameCube framerate, but Xbox might win all this. GameCube early versions apparently were missing health bars. We could use a Dark Legacy Megathread/use this as one :) If they have health bars or not, of there's bugs, etc. As well as Cabinet / Deluxe Cabinet might be different, I don't know what versions the arcade ones run or if they differ throughout the years.
